The vision for an MS hub is not a new idea and something I have been working on for some time. I recently submitted my idea to an international project team and was honoured and privileged to have been selected as a winner of the Nightingale award. This award is given to MS nurses only, who are looking at ways to improve MS care. This award came with a small bursary, which has now enabled me to springboard my project into action. The landscape of MS is changing and it's not just about the drugs. There is much more focus on the positive holistic approaches to managing this
condition and this is the primary goal of the hub.

As part of my continued commitment to this group of patients, I am continually striving to improve the holistic approach to care and looking at more community health and well-being interventions, to enable clients to live well with MS . I have a number of therapists on board offering a range of therapeutic interventions and hope to increase the scope of this even further as the hub develops. The hub will also be integral for support, educational workshops, resources and a social meeting point.
